Terms and conditions of giftcards



These following Terms and Conditions apply to the purchase of gift cards on the website DinnerBooking.com (hereafter called the Website).

The gift card can be redeemed at participating restaurants that are registered with our gift card system. You can view and read more about the participating restaurants on our Website.

In the following text, “we”, “us” or “DinnerBooking” will be used to describe DinnerBooking ApS, while “you” refers to the customer purchasing the ticket.

In order to place an order the terms and conditions must be read and accepted. The use of our site is also subject to our Terms and Conditions of Use and our Privacy Policy. You have agreed to the following terms and conditions separately by using our Website and the commencing of the buying process.

Only you can refer to the content in individual agreements and order confirmations. The information given in relation to the purchase, include the prices you have accepted when submitting your order.

Only people over 18 years of age with a debit card in their own name can place an order. When ordering, you declare that you are at least 18 years old.


The agreement of purchase and delivery of the gift card is made between yourself and DinnerBooking.

However, the agreement of purchase and delivery of the service is to be paid for, with the gift card. The payment is made directly between yourself and the restaurant, or the person of your choosing to which the gift card is given to.

In other words DinnerBooking cannot be held responsible for any matters related to the restaurant’s performance.(e.g: quality of food or service.)

The gift card is sold by DinnerBooking whilst the meal is sold by the restaurant.


In order to place an order you have to create a user profile and be logged in.

First you need to select the gift card amount to place an order.

To proceed you need to accept the Terms and Conditions and any other terms.

This opens a new and safe window where you can enter your credit card details.

To complete the order select “complete payment”. An email will be automatically sent to you with a receipt for the order. This receipt represents your order confirmation and contains the necessary information for your proof of the purchase and payment. The email will be forwarded to the address you have specified on your user profile.


Your order will automatically be processed, once the receipt and the gift card are delivered via email, together with the receipt of your purchase, which will be sent to the email address you have specified on your user profile.

The delivery is a link to a pdf file containing the gift card which you can download and print.


We do not keep a copy of the agreement after its completion, meaning that it won’t be available to you afterwards. We therefore urge you to store a copy of the receipt for future reference.

On your user profile on our website you will be able to see the gift card that you have purchased.

The agreement is concluded in Danish.


All price indicators on the Website include local VAT. The total amount to be paid including handling fees and other fees when paying with a credit card etc. are calculated and shown in connection with the presentation of the item or service when possible. The total amount to be paid is calculated and disclosed before the completion of the purchase.


Payment must be made online using MasterCard or Visa.

Payment is subject to a fee either as a fixed amount or as a percentage of the purchase price. You will be informed of the fee on the payment page before the payment transaction is initiated.

Payment information must be entered when the order is placed. The payment will take effect immediately with the delivery of the gift card. The amount withdrawn will never be greater than what you have accepted at the time of purchase.

We use an EPAY approved payment system. All the communication data during the purchase including customer data, order data and payment data take place via an encrypted SSL connection. This ensures that unauthorized people cannot see/read the data that are exchanged.

When SSL encryption is enabled, a padlock will appear at the bottom of the window, you will find this is the case with the majority browsers.

We do not keep or register your account information or payment details.


If we cannot find a satisfactory solution for a complaint you have made in connection to your purchase with us or any other matters, you may appeal to the Consumer Complaints Board if the conditions for this are met.


If you act as a consumer under the terms of the purchase law, you have a window of 14 days in order to cancel the purchase of the gift card. The right of cancellation starts from the day you receive the gift card.

If the last day of cancellation falls on a public holiday, a Saturday, Constitution Day, 24th or 31st of December the deadline expires on the following day.

If you wish to use your right to cancel, you may fill out the attached form to these terms and conditions as shown on appendix 1 and send it to us or inform us in another clear manner that you are using your right to cancel.

Immediately after we receive your notice of cancellation, you will receive a receipt for this on the email address provided.

Within 14 days after we have received your cancellation notice, we will refund any amount received in connection with the purchase i.e. the full amount of the gift card and all fees.

Unless you explicitly request otherwise, reimbursement will be made using the same payment method that you used when completing the purchase.

If you use the gift card before the cooling-off period expires you cannot use your right to cancel for the amount already used. This means that you will only be repaid the amount that is not used and you will not be refunded the fees you have paid in connection with the purchase.

When you use the gift card it implies an explicit request to start the fulfillment of the agreement between you and DinnerBooking about the gift card. The restaurant the gift card is used on receives the request on behalf of DinnerBooking.

If you use the full amount of the gift card before the cooling-off period expires, DinnerBooking’s service is completed and therefore the right to cancel has also ceased.


The gift card is valid for 2 years after purchase. The expiry date is stated on the gift card.

The gift card can be used at restaurants that are registered with DinnerBooking’s gift card system. DinnerBooking cannot guarantee that restaurants registered at the time of purchase, will still be registered at the time of use of the gift card. Participating restaurants may vary over time.

We are not responsible for any printing errors or other errors in the descriptions on the restaurant profiles on the Website.

DinnerBooking cannot be held responsible for any matters relating to the restaurant’s services. It is your own responsibility to ensure that the restaurant you want to use the gift card at is registered in the gift card system and accepts the gift card.

It is your responsibility to know the restaurant’s terms and conditions for receiving service, such as table order or dress code.

The gift card is not personalized and can be transferred freely to others i.e. as a gift.

The entirety of the amount on the gift card must be used at the restaurant, the unused amount is nonrefundable.

The code specified on the gift card is used in relation to the gift card. It is your own responsibility to keep the code safe, so that unauthorized parties cannot make use of it, thus receiving service from the restaurants at your expense.

You can print and copy your gift card in order to show it in the restaurant. However, you may not reproduce the gift card or any of its content in order to counterfeit it or produce false gift cards etc.

In addition, we note that all intellectual rights to materials received from DinnerBooking, including designs and trademarks contained therein, belong to DinnerBooking or, if applicable, the restaurants.


Danish law’s general rules including the rules of the Danish Sale of Goods Act are used, unless otherwise specified in these terms and conditions of sale.

If you have a complaint about the performance of DinnerBooking i.e. if you have not received what you ordered or you received something wrong, please contact us immediately once you have discovered the error.

If your complaint is aimed at the restaurant please contact the restaurant directly. DinnerBooking is not liable for the restaurant’s service.


To complete your order, it is necessary to register certain personal information about yourself, such as your name, address, email address and phone number. The use of this information is utilized to complete your purchase.

You agree however, that we can use the information in an anonymized form for statistical purposes.

If you have a user profile and this is used at the time of purchase, other personal data will be recorded and processed. Processing of personal data in such circumstances, comply with the rules of our Privacy Policy, which can be found here and to which you accepted at the time of your user profile creation.
